The house generally was not comfortable for cattle management (cleaning, oestrus detection, supply of feed and water, milking, inspecting illness etc). Poor road system was observed in the district. Though enough health clinics were available in the district, it lacks professionals and service regarding to vaccination. Lack of giving training and advisory for the farmers was attributed to institutional problem. Weaknesses in making farmer cooperative in the sector were observed. Primary data were collected from purposively selected three PAs. 36 OMFC user s households, 12 from each PAs, were included in the final analysis. Secondary data were collected from relevant organizations and related documents. Descriptive statistics were used for analyzing the data. Moreover, likert scale method was used to measure the attitude of farmers towards the OMFC on their livelihood. The research revealed that contact to DAs, training about system of credit and visiting frequency of OMFCSI s coordinator were significant for farmers to get more income in CUY. Distance of OMFCSI s from farmers residence was found to have a negative impact on farmers' farm income. The general scale label of attitude was found to be 2, implying that the farmers have a strong positive attitude towards the impact of credit to their livelihood. Therefore, considering of factors affecting credit use, impact of credit on farm income and livelihood of the farmer are vital in providing information to undertake effective measures with the aim of extending loans and increasing access to credit.…

Postmortem examinations were conducted on 384 slaughtered cattle during the study period. 15.58% Prevalence of Fasciolosis observed in this study and statistically significant difference in the prevalence rate of the two species of Fasciola (P= 0.000). Of the 60 Fasciola positive livers from Wacha-Maji origin animals 10.13%, 1.04 %, 0.78 % and 3.64 % were for F. gigantica mature fluke, immature fluke and F. hepatica respectively, so that F. gigantica is more prevalent in Wacha-Maji area (10.13%) than Fasciola hepatica (3.64%). The overall species identification revealed that F. gigantica was more prevalent (10.13%) as compared to F. hepatica (3.64%). Pathological lesions were classified in to three based on degree of pathological lesions observed. Out of the 60 Fasciola infested livers 20 (33.33 %), 11 (18.33%) and 29 (48.33%) were severely, moderately and lightly affected respectively. Finally, a few point of recommendation was forwarded.…
