Taschenbuch. Condición: Neu. Neuware - There is a quiet magic in tapestry weaving-an intimacy between your hands, your loom, and the stories you choose to tell through fiber. Whether you're picking up yarn for the very first time or returning to the craft with deeper curiosity, The Complete Tapestry Weaving Handbook invites you into a world where color, texture, and creativity come alive in the calm rhythm of weaving. As a professional tapestry weaver who has learned through trial, error, triumphs, and countless hours at the loom, I wrote this book to give you something I never had when I began: a complete, trustworthy, step-by-step guide that teaches both skill and artistic confidence. Inside, you won't just learn how to weave-you'll learn to see like a tapestry artist. You'll understand how to plan a design, choose the right fibers, build a perfect warp, shape forms with intention, and finish pieces with gallery-worthy polish. But this isn't just a technical manual. It's a pathway into mastery. Throughout these pages, you'll explore more than 15 inspiring tapestry projects, each crafted to help you grow from simple foundations to richly layered, advanced pieces. With every project, you'll feel your hands become steadier, your color choices bolder, your ideas more fluid. And before long, you'll realize you're weaving pieces that are not only beautiful-but deeply personal. From soothing beginner tapestries to sculptural wall hangings, abstract art panels, woven landscapes, and professional exhibition pieces, this handbook gives you everything you need to transform fiber into art with confidence and joy.>If you feel that spark in your chest.the one that whispers, I want to make something with my hands.this is your invitation.>Scroll up and Add to Chart now, and start creating tapestries that tell your story-one beautiful thread at a time.KEYWORDS.…

[160] pages : music ; 20 cm LCCN unk84156739 LC M2198.B33 C45 ; pictorial stiff paper wrappers ; hymns in shape-note notation ; Jesse Randall (J.R.) Baxter Jr., gospel music composer and publisher, was born on December 8, 1887, in Lebanon, Alabama. The "Sand Mountain native" was a prolific song composer and co-founder of the Stamps-Baxter Music Company. He was known as "Pap" to his close friends. He learned the fundamentals of harmony and gospel music from T. B. Mosley and A. J. Showalter, and began teaching while he was still a student. He subsequently learned hymn writing from James Rowe, Charles H. Gabriel, and others. By 1943 he had composed more than 500 songs; by the time of his death his song lyrics numbered in the thousands. Several gospel quartets were named for him. As a publisher, he put out thousands of songs and sold hundreds of thousands of songbooks. Numerous singers and directors learned from him. In 1926 he and V. O. Stamps started the Stamps-Baxter Company, which had offices in Chattanooga, Tennessee; Jacksonville, Texas; and, later, Pangburn, Arkansas. Stamps-Baxter, which published hymnals and sponsored traveling quartets and radio programs, grew to be the world's largest gospel music business. After Stamps died in 1940 Baxter moved the business headquarters to Dallas and became president and general manager, a position he held until his death on January 21, 1960.
