This book provides knowledge about how cancerous tumour treatment using electrical pulses can increase efficiency and reduce the side effects of established tumour treatment methods. The combination of electrical pulses and chemotherapy has so far been successfully performed on more than 3000 patients, and using such pulses in conjunction with radiation therapy is a tempting challenge. The text provides a coherent presentation of the knowledge needed for successful treatment using electrical pulses in clinical practice. This method does not require access to high-tech resources and therefore is particularly suited for use in areas without highly sophisticated healthcare. This book provides knowledge about how cancerous tumour treatment using electrical pulses can increase efficiency and reduce the side effects of established tumour treatment methods. Shipping may be from multiple locations in the US or from the UK, depending on stock availability.

This item is printed on demand - it takes 3-4 days longer - Neuware -Our first Arctic expedition was 'Ymer-80' conducted during 1980 from June 23 to October 6. The aim was to commemorate the discovery of the Northeast Passage by Adolf Erik Nordenskiöld in 1878-1880. Bengt Forkman, professor at Lund University, engaged the professor in radioecology Bertil Persson, to arrange an environmental radioactivity research program for the Ymer-80 expedition. He in turn engaged his student Elis Holm, who was investigating plutonium isotopes in the environment. For the logistics we found Kjell-Åke Carlsson, mechanical engineer at the department of radiation physics at Lund University. After a successful Ymer-80 expedition, we continued the exploration of radioactivity from the Arctic to the Antarctic with the following expeditions arranged by the Swedish Polar Research Program: The expedition 'SWEDARP' 1988 -1989, started from Gothenburg with destination Antarctica. In 1991 the Arctic Ocean with the Swedish icebreaker M/S Oden. During 1994 the joint Swedish-Russian 'Tundra Ecology-94' with the Russian ice-breaking research vessel R/V Akademik Fedorov as platform went along the Siberian coastline. Finally, in 1996 the Arctic Ocean with the M/S Oden. 116 pp. Englisch.

Añadir al carritoTaschenbuch. Condición: Neu. This item is printed on demand - it takes 3-4 days longer - Neuware -Our team of the clinical researchers in Lund, Sweden, found that electromagnetic radiation, such as those used in mobile communications, even at shallow power values, cause users' blood albumin to leak through the blood-brain barrier 'BBB' into the brain tissue. The BBB is supposed to protect the brain against unwanted and toxic molecules potentially present in the blood, to transfer to the brain tissue. However, our team in Lund found that after exposure of rats to the radiation from mobile telephones, albumin in the blood leak into the brain and accumulates in neurons and glial cells. This matter would be of interest not only for researchers but also for radiation safety authorities and organizations worldwide as well as the general public.
