The irrigation system also uses a storage battery for storing and retrieving the energy available from the PV module and for supplying loads during lean periods or during the night time. An economic analysis for the scaled-up system is also performed to study practical setup of such a system. For the economic study, the system is considered to be set up in a remote onshore area in West Bengal, India near the eastern coastal region.
