It is based on a human sciences methodology using questionnaires and semi-directive interviews with twelve pregnant women who have made this request for a 'natural' birth. The results show that women wishing to give birth naturally have a common profile; their expectations are focused on personalised support and a reasoned medicalisation of their birth. Respect for physiology, the need for intimacy and a relationship of trust with the midwife, as well as the desire to be the main actors in the birth of their child seem to be the main motivations of these women. The study also highlights the importance of continuous support from a known person, the father or the midwife, and the importance of the birth environment. 76 pp. Englisch.

Los resultados muestran que las mujeres que desean dar a luz de forma natural tienen un perfil común; sus expectativas se centran en un apoyo personalizado y una medicalización razonada de su parto. El respeto a la fisiología, la necesidad de intimidad y de una relación de confianza con la matrona, así como el deseo de ser las protagonistas del nacimiento de su hijo parecen ser las principales motivaciones de estas mujeres. Die Studie stützt sich auf eine geisteswissenschaftliche Methodik, die auf Fragebögen und halbdirektiven Interviews mit zwölf schwangeren Frauen beruht, die den Wunsch nach einer 'natürlichen' Geburt geäußert haben. Die Ergebnisse zeigen, dass die Frauen, die eine natürliche Geburt wünschen, ein gemeinsames Profil haben. Ihre Erwartungen richten sich auf eine persönliche Betreuung und eine durchdachte Medikalisierung ihrer Geburt. Der Respekt vor der Physiologie, das Bedürfnis nach Intimität und einer vertrauensvollen Beziehung zur Hebamme sowie der Wunsch, die Hauptakteurin bei der Geburt ihres Kindes zu sein, scheinen die Hauptmotive dieser Frauen zu sein.
