Trotz ihres unbestreitbaren Einflusses auf die kanonisierte Geschichte der Moderne gibt es bisher nur wenig Erkenntnisse zu diesem beachtlichen architektonischen Erbe.Die hier vorgestellten 101 Fallstudien zeigen die grosse Spannbreite der frühen sowjetischen Kondensatoren - von Installationen der Agitation über Arbeiterklubs und Kulturpaläste bis hin zu Massentheatern, verteilt über das riesige, von der Ukraine bis zum Ural reichende Staatsgebiet.
