Taschenbuch. Condición: Neu. nach der Bestellung gedruckt Neuware - Printed after ordering - Begin the year with a book that once lay on parlour tables, waiting to be opened by young hands. Open it on New Year's Day.The New Year Gift; And Juvenile Souvenir gathers the bright, instructive spirit of an early Victorian Britain annual: a victorian children's anthology shaped for family reading and gentle celebration. Mrs. Alaric Watts offers a children's poetry collection that pairs seasonal wonder with new year reflections, guiding children towards virtue and character lessons without losing warmth or play. Expect counsel on kindness, gratitude, and steadiness of heart, offered in rhythms children can follow and adults can admire. The tone is domestic and companionable, attentive to family friendship and duty, and well suited to sharing aloud, dipping into after lessons, or saving for bedtime reading for kids.Such juvenile gift book compilations were a hallmark of 19th century england, blending moral formation with the era's delight in handsome books and keepsakes; they also chart how classic british children's literature reached its audience beyond the schoolroom. For casual readers, the variety keeps pages turning; for collectors, it sits beautifully beside other annuals and keepsake volumes too. Out of print for decades and now republished by Alpha Editions. Restored for today's and future generations. More than a reprint -- a collector's item and a cultural treasure. Ideal as a homeschool literature selection, and a satisfying find for readers who cherish the illustrated gift book edition tradition, this volume brings a small, authentic slice of Victorian childhood back within reach.…
