Lloyd was also publisher of STARS AND CARS auto racing yearbooks that came out in the 1960's and early 1970's. The tracks that Lloyd worked at include Williams Grove, Langhorne, Selinsgrove, Port Royal, Susquehanna, Silver Springs, Fredricksburg, Hagerstown, Lincoln, Winchester and many others. This is an original vintage 5"x3 1/2" auto race photo. It might have been printed in one of the yearbooks. These are generally one of a kind and are in average used condition. Some of the photos have pin-holes in the corners as Lloyd would pin up some in his photo booth when he sold photos at the race tracks. We have thousands of photos to sell. Im Zuge dessen erfand, schrieb und leitete er Sendungen, deren Figuren zum Großteil Puppen (Marionetten und Handpuppen) waren. Diese baute er ausschließlich selbst. Berühmtheit erlangte Arminio Rothstein, der 1994 67jährig verstarb, vor allem in der Figur des Clowns Habakuk, die in der Interaktion mit seinen Puppen den Sendungen einen unverwechselbaren Charakter verlieh: Rothstein variierte das Genre Puppensendung mit der Hinzufügung eines clownesken Realdarstellers und führte überdies generell das Mensch/Puppe-Prinzip im österreichischen Kinderfernsehen ein.Die primäre Intention der vorliegenden Diplomarbeit liegt darin, wesentliche auf die Sendungsinhalte bezogenen Faktoren der Popularität der Fernsehsendungen Rothsteins herauszuarbeiten. Das Forschungsziel beinhaltet auch die Frage nach den Faktoren der jahrzehntelangen Fernsehpräsenz der Sendungen Arminio Rothsteins. Dabei sind insofern primär deren inhaltliche Aspekte von Interesse, als davon ausgegangen wird, dass vor allem im Inhalt einer Fernsehsendung Kriterien für den Erfolg dieser Sendung liegen. Hier spielt einerseits die Qualität einer Fernsehsendung, welcher dieser seitens der ProgrammacherInnen beigemessen wird, eine Rolle, andererseits jedoch vor allem die Popularität der Sendung bei ihrem Fernsehpublikum, die beispielsweise in der - etwa durch Teletest-Daten - messbaren Akzeptanz durch die ZuseherInnen ihren Ausdruck findet.Im Rahmen der vorliegenden Arbeit wurden zwei dem qualitativen sozialwissenschaftlichen Forschungsspektrum zuordenbare Methoden angewandt: Neben der Methode der Expertenbefragung wurde die Fokus-Gruppendiskussion gewählt. Es wurden drei mündliche, wenig standardisierte Leitfaden-Befragungen durchgeführt.Infolge der explorativen Studie werden Hypothesen generiert, welche weiteren, repräsentativen Studien zur Rezeption von Sendungen im Kinderprogramm zugrunde liegen können.
