And here many (?) will find a most salutary corrective to some of their cherished, but never properly examined, presuppositions, and our successors may be able to avoid some of our grosser errors (?). Finally, it has often been stated (?) that the days of papyrology are numbered and that there are few texts still left to be edited. Turner (?) refutes this: there are, for example, as many Oxyrhynchus texts still to be published as have already appeared, and there is much more to be done than there are hands to do it for many years to come.'
