Beginning with sobriety and then finding the red road Indigenous pathway years later, I was able to look back at my life and try to find happiness within myself. I began with making a decision to learn energetic healing by working with a power I had no idea flowed through me. Energy, Qi, Prana, a power I had never known or understood. Finding my way and allowing others to teach me what I didn't know, I soon began to understand the power that flows through all of us and every living thing. Finding the red road and the elemental bodies of earth, water, fire and air, gave me a new way to see myself and heal the lifetime of hurts, wounds, trauma and suffering that I carried. Humbling myself to get on my knees and ask permission with my face to the ground to crawl back into the womb of the mother earth (sweat lodge) into the darkness to sit with the ancestors and their teachings as they spoke to me to give me a new understanding and a new way of being of love and the love I was given by mother earth and my mother my original drum.
