Their advanced weaponry can destroy entire cities, leaving no one to fight back.There are a number of heroes in the story, who come from various backgrounds, but the four primary heroes are a retired Marine with a wife and two daughters, a tough young woman who is determined not to surrender, and two younger soldiers with a sense of humor.When we launch a counter-attack, the Meeduans change their tactics, destroying most of our team, but the heroes don't give up and come up with a unique idea in an attempt to stop the invaders.The use of both narrative and conversation keeps the story moving and draws the reader to connect with the characters. There are lots of action sequences but there are also heart wrenching scenes as the residents of Earth fight back, and our heroes try to rescue the young people taken captive.
