Designing a drone that can carry heavy loads requires special concerns out of which one is designing of frame. Hence, drone frame should be of sufficient strength so that it does not collapse under these loads and should be light in weight. This project focuses on the designing and performing static structural analysis on an octocopter that can carry a payload of 15kg. Structural analysis of drone is done to determine and compare the strength of the material that can be used to manufacture the drone. It also helps to determine the stability of the drone at different altitudes, their weight lifting capacity and mechanical performance.
