The validated instruments applied were the 16PF5 for personality traits and the ASSIST V3.0 for risk of consumption of psychotropic substances. The results show that 34% of the population present high scores in hardness and low scores in extraversions. Regarding the risk of consumption of psychotropic substances, 59% of the students are at a moderate level of risk in terms of alcohol consumption and 67% in relation to tobacco consumption. Once the data were analyzed using Chi-square, it was concluded that personality traits do not influence the risk of consumption of psychotropic substances.
