Jog River is a river in Ratnagiri district of Maharashtra. The river has its origin in the Sahyadri ranges and flows westward and meets the Arabian Sea near Anjarle. The drainage pattern of Jog basin indicates that it is a sixth order basin. The jog river basin with drainage density value 1.60 km/km2 is more likely due to regions of highly permeable subsoil material under dense vegetative cover.
