The primary objective of the present research work was to prepare a long circulating drug delivery system of oral hypoglycaemic drugs for long term management of Type-II diabetes mellitus with improved efficacy by microsphere for overcoming the problems of drug delivery through conventional dosage forms. The proposed micro-particulate drug delivery system of biodegradable polymers was capable to maintain the blood sugar level for few days, without the need for frequent dosing; decreased side effects as in case of conventional drug delivery and hence increased patient compliance. 332 pp. Englisch.…
