The present study included 40 consecutive patients (25 females and 15 males) and 35 healthy subjects (HS) (20 females and 15 males). Their ages ranged between (30-65). The levels of thyroid hormones (TSH, FT4, TPOAb and Tg-Ab) were determined by using an enzyme linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). The result of this study showed the increase in serum level of resistin in patients with thyroid dysfunction. The results showed that serum leptin levels were significantly low (P0.004) in hyperthyroid patient groups as compared to control. Resistin hormones levels increased non-significantly (P 0.05) than control levels. 52 pp. Englisch.
