Spectral signatures can be used as a major parameter to monitor the health of tea bushes using multispectral or hyperspectral satellite images, because the class separability is insignificant. Yet the spectral libraries generated for healthy and unhealthy tea plants are at a vacuum. In this study, an attempt has been made with the help of Remote Sensing and GIS techniques to monitor the tea plant health by using the spectral responses in the visible and Near Infrared (NIR) regions of the Electromagnetic Spectrum.
