The study was based on the generic strategies of Porter (1980) of cost leadership, differentiation and focus. Cost related variables were found to have a significant effect on the quality of training offered by a given college. Differentiation and focused strategies were found not to have a major effect on the quality of training offered. For quality training to be realized therefore, private middle level colleges should adopt the cost leadership strategies. 124 pp. Englisch.
