In this study an attempt have been to analyze the changes in the coastal environment in Vasai creek, Mumbai using remotely sensed digital data. The shoreline behavior along the creek also analyzed in order to ascertain the stability of the coast. Water quality assessment using the visual interpretation was carried out and the dispersion of polluted water in the sea was studied.
