Neuware - Atlas photographique de la lune, Volume 8 presents a detailed photographic survey of the moon, compiled by the Observatoire de Paris under the direction of Maurice Loewy and P. Puiseux. This volume continues the ambitious project to create a comprehensive photographic atlas, capturing the lunar surface with unprecedented clarity for the late 19th century. The atlas showcases the technological advancements of the era in astronomical observation and photography. This historical record offers invaluable insights into the methods and achievements of early lunar cartography. The photographs, meticulously captured and reproduced, reveal the moon's craters, mountains, and other surface features, providing a valuable resource for both historical research and modern astronomical study.
