The study concluded that positive attitudes towards mental illness are driven by religious kindliness and moral beliefs; and negative aspects of attitudes are rooted in a conviction that mental illness is motivated. It is suggested that investigating the different factors that underlie attitudes would be useful in guiding awareness campaigns on ways to counteract stigmatisation of mental illness.

The first part involves an application to a class of nonlinear parabolic differential equations. First, RG methods are described for determining the key exponents related to the decay of solutions to these equations. The determination of decay exponents is viewed as an asymptotically self similar process that facilitates an RG approach. The methods are also extended to higher order in the small coefficient of the nonlinearity. Finally, the RG results are verified in some cases by rigorous proofs and other calculations. In the second part, the application of RG technique to systems of equations describing interface problems is presented. The temporal evaluation of an interface separating two phases is analyzed for large time. The standard sharp interface problem in the quasi-static limit is studied. Hence, it is desirable for such MRs to operate on a different band. There exist unused or white spaces in the spectrum used by licensed operators, who are referred to as Primary Users (PUs). Cognitive radio technology is one that can enable MRs in a WMN with poor channel conditions to shift operation to this licensed spectrum. This opportunistic sharing of the white spaces in the licensed spectrum results in higher spectral efficiency as well as reduced traffic volume in the ISM band. Additionally, spatial diversity using Smart Antennas is explored to achieve close to theoretical limits of spectral efficiency.
