The manual Application system has made the process difficult, leading to some of the students giving up and others applying late.The ineffectiveness of the manual Application system pushed the researchers to conduct this study so as to identify the weaknesses of manual students' Application system, identify possible solutions to the identified weaknesses. The study was carried out in Tanzania, and data was collected from four regions of Tanzania namely Dar es Salaam, Morogoro, Dodoma and Iringa. During data collection, several college students, secondary school students, registrars and parents were interviewed. It was found out that, the manual system wastes a lot of time especially when students are many. Other weaknesses included; lack of consistence, difficult in data retrieval among others. And an online Application system was seen as the only solution to the perceived problem.PHP and MySQL were used to develop an online Application system. The system can be accessed via the web by simply typing the address of the system server in the web browser.The major limitation of the study is that most villages have no access to the internet besides most people not being computer literate. Therefore the researcher recommends that computer lessons be made compulsory right from primary level by the government and those who cannot get access to the internet can go ahead and make use of the manual system. 76 pp. Englisch.

This fact allows saving amounts up to EUR1,593,817,50 per year. Furthermore the labour turnover rate will decrease to 50 % and the number of applicants will increase by at least 40 %. Thus SporLectro can use the valuable human capital to improve the productivity and to promote the company. The program will make the employees more satisfied, so the basis for maximum labour productivity can be established. It is mentionable that the Corporate Identity can be strengthened. A company which offers sport- and health-oriented products should also represent the according philosophy within the company.The implementation of the Well-Fit-Program will only cost EUR52,039.00. The running costs per year are EUR50,184.10. Summarized one year after the end of the project SporLectro will have invested EUR102,223.10. This means that the cost saving SporLectro has one year after the implementation is 15 times higher than the costs of the project plus the running costs in the first year.The whole company will benefit from the changes owing to the Well-Fit-Program. On the one hand the employer SporLectro can invest the saved money in profit making capital expenditures and on the other hand the employees of the company can aim a high level of physical and mental health protection, well-being, as well as social cohesion. All of them deal with the nature of identity and attach value to these mysteries and riddles typical of Paul Auster, for example by using symbols and metaphors to cause certain reactions in the reader. Especially the postmodern novel City of Glass from 1985 makes use of numerous symbols and metaphors that can be found throughout the whole novel. In this way, many passages or even single sentences can be interpreted differently and consequently it is sometimes difficult for the reader not to be confused. By using the single symbols and metaphors of the title, of glass as symbol of pairs and look-alikes, the crisis of identity, and the Tower of Babel in his novel City of Glass, Paul Auster influences the reader and causes different effects, such as catching his interest, confusing him, or giving him a reason for thinking. The extensive literature on the weather effect fails to converge towards a unique, systematic and robust relationship between the weather and the stock market. Therefore, the aim of this paper is to explain the contradictory results in the literature by testing whether stock prices are affected by the weather in a significantly different manner depending on the level of market development and explaining how this difference behaves over time. In order to test for this, city-by-city, pooled and binary regressions are employed using data of 10 developed and 10 emerging countries over the period 1996-2011 by using two different means of seasonal adjustment. The results show that weather has a very small impact on the worldwide stock market returns and that the significance of the weather effect is decreasing over time with a cyclical pattern in terms of its recurrence. We identify the year 2001 as the cut-off point when the significance of weather on stock markets diminishes. No support has been found for a real difference in the weather effect between emerging and developed countries. However, evidence has been found of the relative inefficiency of the emerging markets and for the declining influence of weather in time. 56 pp. Englisch.

Traditionally, women are espoused as victims, at the mercy of male killers and therefore subordinate. The notoriety of brutal, horrific and incomprehensible sexual crimes against women in times of genocide has ensured that reluctance in addressing female accountability has plagued this debate. While examinations of these atrocities are imperative and indispensable in facilitating reconciliation, both psychological and social, this one-sided representation has led to a misunderstanding of the dynamic roles which women play during genocide. Whether supportive, active or auxiliary roles, women have been a vital component in endorsing and sanctioning genocidal violence historically. In Rwanda, some women not only provided assistance and encouragement to Hutu men, but also perpetrated the attacks and incited rape. The suffering of female victims cannot be fully understood without a consideration of the extensive nature of the perpetrators, both male and female. Moreover, quite the opposite of diminishing the value and significance of the victimisation of women, any examination which focuses on female agency re-balances the scales of gender inequality and consequently serves to empower women. Women should not be portrayed solely as victims. Women in the Rwandan genocide were victims and perpetrators, agents and symbols. Gender expectations which propagate the superiority of men both during and after conflict are detrimental to the reconstruction of post-genocide gender identities. 60 pp. Englisch.

Although motivation theories have been related to jobs and tourism in general, little is known about the target groups of equestrian tourists. The purpose of this study is to investigate, how the Landsmót affect the motivation of the German Icelandic Horse community regarding their decision to travel to Iceland. Special focus was put on their individual motivation to visit the Landsmót and the resulting impact on their final travel decision.To identify correlations between tourist motivation and destination choice, the study is based on a cross-sectional explanatory research purpose, using a mixed-model research method which consists of a survey and an archival research.Responses from 222 German Icelandic Horse community members were used in order to answer the research questions. The results illustrate, regardless of gender, that equestrian tourists of the German Icelandic Horse community were mostly motivated by entertainment and aesthetic needs, rather than escape or self-esteem. However, comparisons based on the colonial cup race study by Daniels and Norman (2005) show significant differences in the motivation need of group affiliation. No direct correlation exists between the travel motivation of the Icelandic Horse community of Germany and the Landsmót. Despite its significant publicity among the German Icelandic Horse community, it is not part of the process of choosing this destination because of this special horse-based event. According to that the Landsmót it is not the determining factor for choosing Iceland as a travel destination. Nevertheless, this study provides a background and status quo for further specific investigations, regarding the travel behaviour of Icelandic Horse Community of Germany. 56 pp. Englisch.

Beginnend beim Besuch des vorletzten Generalsekretärs der SED, Erich Honecker, in der BRD, werde ich versuchen die Ereignisse in der DDR bis zum Fall der Berliner Mauer am 9. November 1989, nachzuzeichnen.Als wichtigen Aspekt für die Entwicklung der DDR, werde ich auf die deutsch-deutschen Beziehungen in dieser Zeit, und im Besonderen auf den Besuch Honeckers in Bonn, eingehen.Ebenso werde ich die Reaktion und Haltung der SED-Führung auf den Reformkurs des damaligen sowjetischen KPdSU-Generalsekretärs Michail Gorbatschows zu beleuchten versuchen. Die politische und ideologische Abspaltung von der sowjetischen Linie stellt einen besonders bedeutungsvollen Faktor in der Entwicklung der DDR dar.Im weiteren Verlauf möchte ich auf die als Antwort auf die ständige Unterdrückung sich immer stärker entwickelnde Opposition und den Widerstand in der DDR, der sich in Massendemonstrationen äußerte, eingehen. Hierbei werde ich, vor allem auf die größte Protestaktion in der Geschichte der DDR am 4. November 1989 auf dem Alexanderplatz in Ost-Berlin, die Reaktionen darauf und deren Auswirkungen bis zum Fall des 'Antifaschistischen Schutzwalls' am 9. November 1989 eingehen.Als letzten Teil dieser Arbeit, möchte ich näher beschreiben, wie ein durch Soldaten, das Wachregiment Dziersynski und nicht zuletzt durch das Terrorsystem der Staatssicherheit so stark gesichertes System implodieren konnte. 24 pp. Deutsch.

Im Laufe der Arbeit werde ich auf die Person dieses bekannten Regisseurs eingehen. Hauptsächlich werde ich mich damit beschäftigen, was für Ereignisse und Momente seine Identität geprägt haben. Er war für viele berühmte Filme bekannt, welche auch heute noch den Markt bestimmen und nahezu überall erhältlich sind. Zusätzlich dazu ist zu sagen, dass er mit diesen Filmen die westliche Filmkunst stark beeinflusst hat . So kann man wohl zweifelsfrei behaupten, dass Kurosawa ein auf internationaler Ebene sehr einflussreicher Regisseur war. Zu seinen wohl bekanntesten Filmen zählen zum Beispiel 'Die Sieben Samurai (shichinin no samurai)' , 'Rashômon (rashômon)' und 'Ran (ran)'. Der Film Rashômon zum Beispiel beschäftigt sich mit der Geschichte um eine Vergewaltigung die anscheinend im Laufe des Films aufgeklärt werden soll. Dies findet aber nicht statt, da jeder der Menschen immer wieder eine Lüge hinzudichtet. Daher wirkt der Film sehr verwaschen, weil man am Ende des Films immer noch nicht weiß wer denn nun wirklich was getan hatte. Dieser Film spiegelt seine Filmtechnik sehr gut wieder. Zum Beispiel setzt Kurosawa neue Kameratechniken kombiniert mit einer einzigartigen Symbolik ein. Er äußert sich zu Rashômon kurz vor dem Ende Buches und beschreibt, wie sehr ihn der Dreh dieses Filmes in seiner Person beeinflusst hat. Ganz ungeachtet davon, dass er schon im mittleren Alter war.Zur Quellenlage muss ich sagen, dass ich einige Bewertungen des Buches fand und auch interessante Einblicke in Primärliteratur erhalten konnte. Darunter befindet sich ein Buch über Interviews seiner Mitarbeiter, sowie natürlich das japanische Original des Werkes, welches ich hier hauptsächlich bearbeite. Wenn das Verständnis des Originals auf Grund meiner noch nicht ausreichenden Sprachkenntnisse des Japanischen sich auch etwas abbremsend auf die Erschließung des Inhalts auswirkte. Trotzdem habe ich mit Hilfe der Primärliteratur interessante Einblicke in die Person 'Kurosawa Akira' erhalten. Damit ist die Erstellung meine Arbeit sicher weitaus detaillierter, als wenn ich mich nur auf Sekundärliteratur berufen hätte. 16 pp. Deutsch.

Hauptsächlich befasse ich mich mit der Thematik, wie Oda Nobunaga im Laufe der Zeit aufgestiegen ist, sich entwickelt hat und letztendlich Japan veränderte. Des Weiteren wird noch zusätzlich thematisiert werden, warum Akechi Mitsuhide (1528-1582) seinen Herrn Oda Nobunaga hinterging und wie er dies vollbrachte. Außerdem gehe ich auf Oda Nobunagas wichtigste Schlachten ein, werde diese kurz erläutern, sowie entscheidende Aspekte unterstreichen. Zusätzlich versuche ich seinen Stil der Kriegsführung genauer darzustellen. Ich beziehe mich hauptsächlich auf Quellen, welche der englischen und vereinzelt auch aus der deutschen Sprache zu Grunde liegen. Dazu muss ich erwähnen, dass es mehrere interessante Quellen zu der Thematik über den Reichseiniger gibt, aber ich mich hauptsächlich auf die Biographie des Oda Nobunagas berufen werde. Sie wurde von Jeroen Pieter Lamers verfasst und ist am verständlichsten, sehr detailliert und auf dem aktuellsten historischen Stand, im Vergleich zu mehreren anderen Quellen. Speziell wenn es um das Verhältnis zwischen Akechi Mitsuhide und Oda Nobunaga geht, widersprechen sich aber leider manche Quellen außerordentlich. 16 pp. Deutsch.

Kapitel eins beschreibt, wie es dazu kam, dass sich die Kultur zu einer Selbstdefinition des Staates formte und welche Aufgaben für die Kultur damit verbunden sind. Das zweite Kapitel beinhaltet einige Gedanken zur Nachfrageorientierung und der damit verbundenen Probleme, bevor im dritten Kapitel die 'Probleme der Kultur', wie sie im Buch Kulturinfarkt aufkommen, erklärt werden. Anschließend folgen in Kapitel vier Lösungsvorschläge der Kulturinfarkt-Autoren. Auf einige werde ich eingehen, andere außer Acht lassen, da sie sonst den Rahmen dieser Hausarbeit sprengen werden. Im fünften Kapitel erläutere ich kurz die Biografien der Autoren und im sechsten Kapitel folgt ein Überblick auf Rezensionen und Kritiken, die nach Erscheinen des Buchs Kulturinfarkt in den Medien entstanden sind.
