Conservato all'interno un foglietto con alcune note manoscritte con grafia coeva relative al pittore. Elogio storico del pittore Pasquale Massacra, nato a Pavia nel 1819, ucciso nel 1849, a soli trent'anni a causa di un'azione patriottica. Le sue opere, presentate all'Accademia di Belle Arti di Brera, ricevettero giudizi estremamente favorevoli e l'artista, ancora giovanissimo, venne salutato come un potenziale innovatore della futura pittura italiana. Prima edizione, rara a reperirsi completa della brossura editoriale, di questa pubblicazione di enigmistica con enigmi, indovinelli e sciarade. Ritratto di Zoncada all'antiporta. Antonio Zoncada (Codogno in provincia di Lodi 1813 Pavia 1887) fu un celebre letterato e patriota italiano che partecipò ai moti del 1848. Ricoprì anche la cattedra di Letteratura all'Università di Pavia. Fu autore di diversi scritti letterari, saggistici e si interessò di enigmistica. L'opera qui presentata è una raccolta enigmistica di indovinelli, sciarade ed enigmi ideati da Antonio Zoncada. Opera in buone-ottime condizioni di conservazione.
