Añadir al carritoHardcover. Condición: Excellent. Estado de la sobrecubierta: Very Good. SIGNED BY UNITED STATES SENATOR MAURINE NEUBERGER OF OREGON AND WIFE OF AUTHOR!) Vintage Landmark Cloth Cover Hardcover Book with Dust Jacket. Hardback Book is in Very Good Plus to Excellent condition with a tight binding and clean crisp pages. Inside text is in Excellent condition and appears unread and unused! There is the US Senator's inscription on the first title page dated inscribed to "Andy & Jody" and dated "May 13, 1968". BUT, I do not believe "Andy or Jody" ever read this book! No writing or markings in the book. Outside cloth covers are very nice. Dust Jacket has some minor soiling primarily to the outside spine and back cover with some edge chipping and small missing pieces from the top and bottom areas of the outside spine. Dust Jacket is now covered by a new clear mylar cover. Book has come from a private collection and has the special asset of US Senator from Oregon's signature! Maurine Neuberger's husband and the author died in 1960 and Maurine won a special election in November of 1960 and then won a general election serving as a United States Senator from Oregon from 1960-1967. She did not run for reelection in 1966. She died in 2000. Very unique piece! This is a less common title in the wonderful Landmark series. Landmark Books and World Landmark Books are accurate, in-depth stories for young people in the 9-15 year old range. These living histories were written by award-winning authors or by men and women who experienced the events first hand. Written during the 1950's and 1960's and illustrated either with two-color drawings or clear photographs, the books are informative, enjoyable, and well worth reading and collecting. Wonderful Landmark Book all about the Lewis and Clark Expedition. Signed By US Senator (Author's Wife).…
