A rare play by California author, who was an early member of the Bohemian Club of San Francisco. (The Bohemian Club was founded in 1872) Signed by the author on a tipped-in slip: "with regards of W.H.L. Barnes. Jan'y 8th 1872. Black leather, 6 X 8 3/4 inches, 96 pages. This copy, an ex-library from The Bohemian Club with the clu…b's bookplate on the end paper and a small owl with the number 812 on the cover. Spine with faded white lettering. All edges rubbed, exterior edges of spine split, but covers holding. Lacks front free end paper. Just Good.
