Some discoloration to binding, light soiling, wear to extremities with softened cover corners. Unmarked interior. Light to moderate foxing throughout (some heavy), signs of damp staining at beginning and end of text. Several upper page corners torn/chipped at very edges, with no loss of print. One leaf creased; some undulation to leaves. NOTE: A misbound copy with pp 221-222 duplicated and placed where pp 185-186 should be and therefore lacking. I have photocopied the missing pages, printed on modern ivory paper, cut to size, leaving an extra lip of 1/8 inch paper on the gutter edge for mounting into the volume, if desired. I have digital images of the pages which can be sent to the buyer. This copy precedes the published edition a year later, which contains a Preface added and illustrations (this copy has neither). Text otherwise, appears the same, published as: "Narrative of the life and suffering of a young British captive; William B. Lighton." A sound copy, well bound. Scarce. Scans of book and interior available. Rare book. Questions welcome. Images can be made upon request.
