The captivating beauty of these weavings is the work of highly skilled dyers and weavers, who used the fine local wool and dyes to create characteristic warm, glowing colours transformed into a wealth of imaginative traditional designs. The book includes many wonderful and previously unpublished pieces, such as the oldest known Bakhtiari and a number of the so-called Great Khan carpets.
