Weiner on the book's first free end page. An excruciating tale about the ugly downfall of a severe alcoholic; it was made into a made-for-television movie starring Di…ck Van Dyke. The book has sound hinges and does not lean. Pages are very lightly toned but clean without marks, creases, stains, wrinkles, foxing or tears. The outer page edges show light foxing. There is a single 1/8" fade spot near the fore-edge of the book's front cover, otherwise the book's black and purple cloth covers are very clean. There is a little dust soiling to the top of the book (outer page edges). Cover corners are not bumped. There is no evident rub wear to the book's extremities. The book's original dust jacket is price-clipped. It has a few light but long scratches on the jacket's back panel. The jacket does not have any holes, chips or tears.
