Nicht bei Diepenbroick. - Joseph Weidmann (geb. 1742 in Wien; gest. 1810 ebda) war ein Schauspieler, insbesondere für komische Rollen. Seine Karriere entwickelte er zunächst in Prag und Brünn und kam danach über Linz und Graz 1772 an das Hoftheater Wien, 1785-1786 übernahm der die Theaterleitung. Er spielte fast ausschließlich komische Rollen. "Auch in der Operette mußte er wiederholt mit Singen aushelfen; dazu berichtet Castellis Charakteristik, daß W. [.] dem Singspiele 'Die Faßbinder' zu starkem Applaus verholfen habe" (zit. nach ADB). Ebenfalls war er als Schriftsteller tätig.
