The front free endpaper has the name of the original owner along with a date - this was Jimmy Altham, a Life Fellow of Gonville & Caius College, and a Professor of Philosophy at the University of Cambridge. Small bookshop label to the front pastedown. The pages are slightly browned with slight warping to the top corners of pages 95 to 126 but are otherwise unmarked. The jacket has a half inch closed tear to the top edge of the front panel and small nicks to the base of the spine and the top edge of the rear panel. Slight wear to the top corners and some browning, particularly to the spine and around the edge. There is also a small stain to the left edge of the rear panel. First printing.
