This work is a hitherto unpublished manuscript that describes the experiences an enlisted resident of Kankakee, Illinois, who fought with the Union and was involved in battles at Corinth, Murfreesboro, Chickamauga, and Shermans campaign to Atlanta. One would be challenged to find a copy of this Lakeside classic in as pristine condition as this volume. This book is one for the most discriminating and exacting buyer.
