Cloth with Dustjacket. 1st Edition. REVIEW COPY WITH SLIP LAID IN. The Screenplay for Jules Dassin's gritty seminal New York noir thriller that has had a lasting impact on films even today, (see L.A. Confidential for proof of the fact). The film had a tangy script (Oscar nom. for best story), on location cinematography in New York City that won William Daniels a well deserved Oscar and several fine performances. Illustrated with 12 stills and a long afterword by Malvin Wald. Laid in is an errata slip. Faint ghost of a price label on endsheet, light wear and soiling to the dustjacket which is illustrated with a full color repro. of the poster and is also price clipped. Fine/vg. Book.
