Añadir al carritoHardcover. Condición: Very Good. No Jacket. 1st Edition. 1917 first printing, with the words "Presentation Copy" embossed (blind-stamped) in small type vertically down the side of the title page. (Blind-stamping unlikely to show up on our scans.) The UK Internet seller from whom we acquired this copy believed this stamping rende…red this volume a "Presentation Copy" worth $80; we don't. The problem is, so far as we can determine, this copy was never actually PRESENTED to anyone. There's NO presentation inscription, NO conveyance or presentation letter laid in, and no signature to be found -- not by the author, not by the publisher, not by the publisher's mail-room clerk, nothin'. Nonetheless, a "very good" first printing of this classic and prophetic work on air power, with minor rub to board corners and some modest foxing to endpapers (and to pages which face the B&W plates, oddly enough), with the glossy B&W author portrait frontispiece still protected by its original tissue guard. And if you believe said blind-stamping to title page triples the value of this book, a great bargain at the price! 262 pp. including Index, followed by 2 pp. publisher's ads. Here reduced from $27. With Twenty Illustrations (glossy B&W plates.) (ilustrador).
