Son los casos de "Anticipación y suspense", de Juan Frau, y de "La voz del ensayo como arma de urgencia en la novela contemporánea", de Ruth Robleda Caballero. Por otro lado, la reflexión sobre la intriga y la renovación de la narrativa va unida al comentario de ciertos textos y autores, con una perspectiva de carácter formal y/o pragmática. Así ocurre en "Como la sombra que se va: la disolución de la trama en la narrativa de Antonio Muñoz Molina", de José Manuel Begines Hormigo, "Continuidad de los parques.
