The exterior is lightly worn along the edges with a few light scratches on the front. Please see the photos. The gilt on the spine and page tops is clear and unfaded. The spine is strong and tight. There is an inscription on the first page in ink, "To my friend, George B Aycrigg. CB Tyler, June 1916." I don't know if this is a relation to the author or not. I am including a partial sheet of stationary in that name that I found in another book. The only other marking I found is a price in pencil. The three maps are present and unharmed.
