Cloth Boards. Condición: Good. 1st Edition. Brown cloth boards with gilt titling on spine leather patches. From the Introductory Statement:- 'This is the first inventory of a a new series.Nowhere else, so far as known, is there an authentic record of the introduction into a country of 30,000 plant importations from various parts of the world'. The first volume contains inventories 31-41, Nos 33279-39681 which are paged thus:- pp 98, 49, 60, 51, 68, 74, 95, 105, 183, 110, 67. The second volume contains inventories 42-49, Nos 39682-43979 which are paged thus:- pp 123, 106, 71, 66, 97, 96, 56, 117. Each inventory has its own index. All is printed on art paper and is illustrated throughout with b/w full page plates. These are square, tight and clean copies with clean, bright text; extremities are a little bumped and the spine patches are a little worn but that seems to be the only fault. This is from the Patent Ofice Library (UK) with occasional innocuous stamps and there is a gilt crown stamped to head of spine.
