Añadir al carritoHardcover. Condición: Good. Good-. Stated copyright 1916 by Grosset & Dunlap Octavo (approx. 7.5 x 5 inches); [iv], 247, [9] pp. publisher ads. Bound in publisher's original dark green cloth with titles and decorative border stamped in dark green on front cover and spine, featuring a large full-color pictorial paper paste-down illustration by Florence England Nosworthy mounted to the front board. Illustrated with glossy black-and-white plates throughout. A complete reading and shelf copy. Shows honest shelf wear, corner bumping, and rubbing to the green cloth extremities. The front pictorial plate remains intact and legible with strong color, exhibiting scattered surface creases, minor scuffing, and light edge wear. The inner front hinge is cracked with binding webbing exposed, though the text block remains held; interior pages show uniform period toning but remain clean, supple, and free of internal scribbles. The fifth installment in Laura Lee Hope's classic Stratemeyer Syndicate series (penned by Uncle Wiggily creator Howard R. Garis), Bunny Brown and His Sister Sue at Camp Rest-A-While follows the young Brown siblings, their dog Splash, and their family on an idyllic summer camping trip in the woods. Featuring outdoor swimming, tent adventures, rustic camp cooking, and youthful exploration, the story captures early 20th-century American childhood nostalgia. Complete with period illustrations by Florence England Nosworthy. Florence England Nosworthy (ilustrador).…

Añadir al carritoHardcover. Condición: Good. Good. Stated copyright 1924 by Grosset & Dunlap (check rear ad listings for post-1924 titles to distinguish first edition from later 1920s imprint runs). Octavo; [vi], 246, [6] pp. ads. Bound in publisher's original light blue cloth with titles stamped in dark blue on front board and spine, featuring a full-color pictorial paper paste-down illustration across the front cover. Frontispiece and black-and-white plates by Walter S. Rogers. A complete and sound copy with firm binding and clean text block. Shows honest age-toning and handling soil to the cloth (predominantly the rear board), rubbing along the outer hinges, light softening to spine ends and corners, and occasional faint reading smudges to endpapers. The front pictorial plate remains bright, flat, and intact with minimal surface wear. The tenth installment in the popular Stratemeyer Syndicate series created under the Laura Lee Hope house name (ghostwritten by Uncle Wiggily creator Howard R. Garis), Six Little Bunkers at Miller Ned's follows the six Bunker children—Russ, Rose, Violet, Laddie, Margy, and Mun Bun—on their countryside adventures at a working rural watermill. Filled with wholesome 1920s childhood mischief, riddles, outdoor explorations, and period humor, this volume remains a nostalgic favorite for Stratemeyer Syndicate and vintage series-book collectors. Añadir al carrito[6], 182, [6] pages. Hardcover: H 19.25cm x L 13.25cm. Dust jacket toned and soiled; color pictorial front panel illustrated by Walter S. Rogers; some chipping at spine and flap fold ends; tears and scuffing at center of rear flap fold; dj now presented in a mylar Brodart protector. Red cloth; front board decorated with color pictorial paste-on (same image as dj front panel); slight scuffing and light bumping at spine ends. Mild toning to front free endpaper; some toning to pages 74-75 caused by a now removed irrelevant newspaper clipping. B/w frontispiece illustration also by Walter S. Rogers. A very good copy in a good+ dust jacket. Grosset & Dunlap is primarily a reprint house but the Honey Bunch series was evidently one of the few in which Grosset was the first-run publisher. No edition statement provided but only three other Honey Bunch books are cited upon the dj front flap as well as on the copyright page (i.e. title page verso).…

Añadir al carrito251 pages. Hardcover: H 19.25cm x L 12.75cm. Light blue dust jacket with color illustrations of sibling twins Bert and Nan on spine and front panel; spine panel faded with lengthwise crease; chipping at spine and flap ends; light fading to front panel with rubbing and soiling to both front and rear; dj now presented in a mylar Brodart protector. Blue cloth with black stamped lettering on spine and front board; light wear at corners; mild bumping at spine ends. Foxing on edges; light browning to interior leaves. THE BOBBSEY TWINS IN THE COUNTRY (later re-titled by Grosset & Dunlap as THE BOBBSEY TWINS' ADVENTURE IN THE COUNTRY) was first published in 1907 as the second book in the Bobbsey Twins series following its 1904 progenitor, THE BOBBSEY TWINS, OR MERRY DAYS INDOORS AND OUT. Grosset & Dunlap licensed the Bobbsey Twins series from the Stratemeyer Syndicate in 1908 as did Whitman Publishing Company in the 1940s. It is less clear, however, whether editions by Perks Publishing, Goldsmith Publishing, and Saalfield Publishing were authorized. The dust jacket of this Perks Publishing copy closely follows the Goldsmith edition (also circa 1940) in both light blue color and graphic design other than the fomer having the pseudonymous "Laura Lee Hope" centered at the front panel bottom whereas the latter has the name more-or-less right-justified. A very good+ copy in a very good- dust jacket of an uncommon Bobbsey Twins imprint. …

Originally published by Cupples & Leon in 1929. Text has tanned, as expected, but not brittle, front hinge cracking but still holding, else very good plus in green textured cloth with spine and cover titles in black; in a worn colorfully illustrated dust jacket missing a piece from the upper spine, chipping to the lower spine and flap fold corners. A decent copy of this eighth book in The Great Marvel series. Note: The dust jacket has been placed in a clear sleeve to protect from further damage.…
