1st edition. viii, 248pp plus 4pp of ads, (5.75 x 8.5 inches), color plates by Warwick Reynolds, with tissue guards. Only Good condition, no dust jacket. Green cloth, an embossed bird's head on front board. The covers are rubbed and soiled, the titles on spine and front are almost impossible to see. Corners bumped, spine ends ch…ipped. Pages are yellowing, light foxing to endpapers and half-title page. Serious foxing (offsetting) on pages 128 &129 where an old magazine article is laid in. (Another story by this author, titled "Berserk"). Owner's name and a small bookstore stamp inside front covers. But no tears or creases, no markings to text. Still quite readable. Collection of animal stories. This is the actual book from 1913, not a more recent copy.
