A collection of six essays by William Halse Rivers Rivers,… [ 1864 - 1922 ] who is perhaps best known for his work treating First World War officers who were suffering from shell shock. Rivers' most famous patient was the poet Siegfried Sassoon. There is a whole chapter devoted to Rivers and he is immortalised by Sassoon as a near demi-god who saved his life and his soul. 475 grams.
