Writing during the formative years of computer science, psychologist Wladyslaw Sluckin considers whether "electronic brains" are capable of thought, how computing machines operate, and how their study influenced contemporary theories of perception, learning, behavior, nervous systems, and human cognition. Detailed Condition: Fair condition. Original printed wrappers show rubbing, toning, soiling, edgewear, and small surface abrasions. Spine is substantially toned and rubbed, with wear at the ends. Text-block edges are browned. The front wrapper and opening leaves are separating from the text block along the inner hinge, with exposed binding material and paper loss along the gutter; the binding should be handled carefully. Pages are age-toned, with occasional spotting and handling wear. No ownership inscription, highlighting, or extensive annotation observed in the photographed portions.
