It has the potential to minimize inaccuracies in conventional techniques and thus reducing the risk of infections with indirect restorations.It is used in both dental laboratories and the dental office, for the fabrication of crowns and fixed partial dentures, inlays, onlays, veneers, crowns, fixed partial dentures, implant abutments, full mouth restorations and complete dentures enhancing patient's oral function and thus maintaining their health. It is also used in orthodontics in the form of Invisalign retainers.The term 'CAD/CAM' in dental technology is currently used as a synonym for prostheses produced by 'milling technology'. 104 pp. Englisch.
