(12910) Versione italiana dell'opera pubblicata nel 1841 dal sacerdote cattolico Hermann Joseph Schmitt (1796-1868 in cui egli auspicava la rappacificazione e la riunione della Chiesa Graca Moderna con la Chiesa Russa, col superamento delle loro divergenze sotto forma di un "Sinodo Permanente", in vista anche di una rappacificazione anche con la S. Sede. Precedentemente (nel 1824-26), in un'opera corredata di una prefazione di F. von Schlegel, l'autore aveva già perorato anche la riunione della Chiesa Occidentale con quella Orientale, dopo secoli da che ne erano stati rotti i legami per mera litigiosità, malgrado non vi fossero differenze sostanziali in materia di fede. Interessanti le note a piè pagina del traduttore, il comasco Angerlo Bianchi Giovini (1799-1862), che in quell'epoca coltivava studi storico-religiosi, e che in seguito divenne fortemente anticlericale e prossimo a Cavour.
