Añadir al carritoVictoria County History, Cambridgeshire, Volume 10, describes how, on the death in 1812 of Admiral Sir Charles Cotton, Landwade Manor 'passed to his son Sir St. Vincent Cotton who came of age in 1822. In 1850 he sold Landwade to Alexander Cotton, probably his younger brother (b. 1804). Landwade manor was sold in 1854, and the Cotton family's association with the parish ended.' The present item is from the papers of Sir Richard Harington (1835-1911) of Ridlington, 11th Baronet, who has written at the head of the packet title: 'Property of the late Alexander Cotton father of Alice who married first Revd. Charles Harington & 2ndly Robert Biscoe'. (Dates: Alexander Cotton, ?; Alice Cotton, 1845-1921; Rev. In fair condition on aged and worn paper, with spotting to final leaf (maps unmarked). Folded into the conventional packet. The full title reads: 'Within three miles of Newmarket.
