Globalization without doubt is the most controversial concept of the current times that has evoked a worldwide debate over its glossology as well as practice. Leaving apart the scientific technological and economic aspects which have received enough attention in the past of late there has been a shift in the thought perception of the scholars over the issue. The social cultural ecological environmental ethical and humanitarian dimensions of the process have been put to serious discussion and thought. The current volume also attempts to throw light on some of these significant aspects especially the issue of human rights. The concept of rights has been splintered into so many images that the primary issues have been overwhelmed by the secondary ones. The quintessence of all the rights is the right to development which permeates all the cores of the basic necessities for the all round development of man. Since good health is the prime need of everyone the environmental rights have also emerged as the pivotal issue struggling to score success in the human rights agenda. A considerable part of the volume deals explicitly with the human rights problems of refugees women minorities Dalits and the people affected by the terrorist related activities. In all the volume encompasses the multi faceted role of globalization in its connection with myriad of problems man has been placed into. The book it is hoped would be of interest to scholars policy makers concerned organizations and students alike. 214 pp. …
