Minor rubbing tip of spine and the odd small spotting noted at margins, the binding is still ready for presentation, would enhance a library with leather. The motto on the crest reads "Who checks at me. To death is dight". (Scottish for dealt). Presumed 4th edition, the 2nd edition was 1837 and possibly a 3rd in 1838/9? Small octavo. 1848.
