Each volume consists of eight 'papers' on a variety of interesting topics, including some fiction. Topics covered here include Arctic exploration, social utopias, Carthage, recent discoveries in astronomy, Secret societies of the Middle Ages, Rajah Brooke and Borneo, Antarctic explorations, Jewish life in Central Europe, William Wordsworth.
