The spine lettering is not so clear as it is perhaps a little rubbed and sunned. There's some minor knocking at the extremities. The pages look clean throughout, albeit toned, especially to the end papers and page block edge. There's also a small stain (ink possibly) at the foot of the front paste down page. There's small pencil owner name inscription of "Geo Deer" who we believe was the MP for Lincoln, from whose family this book and collection was acquired. A very presentable and charming copy in all.
