This book reviews what the Bible says about peacemaking and tells the stories of Christian peacemakers through the centuries. We also explore how Jesus connects with God's purposes at creation, with war in the the Old Testament, with our repsonsibility to government, and with the realities of life. We discuss practical issues young peacemakers are facing - career choices, military service, the arms race, and war taxes. Joel Kauffmann's cartoon strip, Pontius Puddle, featuring a pair of precocious frogs, provides pungeant perspectives on peacemaking throughout." From Richard Kauffman: "Joining this army is a call to battle, not to wage war but to wage peace. To join is a decision all have to make. This will help you decide as a Christian one of the most important issues in your life." Contents: "Foreword; Invitation to the Reader; Getting Our Bearings; 1.
