Includes dramatic denunciations of evangelist Billy Sunday and of U.S. politicians advocating immediate military retaliation for the sinking of the Lusitania.Joseph Bernard Rethy was Managing Editor of the short-lived literary journal The International Monthly. A controversial figure in New England literary circles, he positioned himself as a radical satirist of public morality and anti-German war rhetoric. The book was reviewed by Aleister Crowley, who unexpectedly praised its ferocity: "Mr Rethy is in many ways at his best, though, in invective."
