His success in elephant capture led to his fame, and he even organized demonstrations for royalty. Sanderson wrote Thirteen Years Among the Wild Beasts of India, sharing his experiences in India. Chapter four is written by G. P. Sanderson and contains a detailed description of their time elephant catching in Mysore. Sanderson was the Superintendent of Keddahs in Mysore.
